Coach has authority to decline enrollment to free consultation/private session request based on following criteria-

Knowledge boundary : It is important to understand, every human being is a work in progress and while the coach may be willing to extend help, the problem may involve coaching skills outside of the coach's current knowledge boundary.

  • Conflict of interest : If you are anyone subject to a bias by the coach (family/friend/foe) and if your problem involves instances in coach's life.

  • Better suited alternative : If life coach examines a better suited help/ skill betterment solution.
e.g Life coaching cannot fix a broken arm, as equivalent cannot fix any mental health issues/ personality disorders. You will be directed to a counselor/psychiatrist/health professional. Similarly, if you are having a technical/creative problem, the life coach can work to connect you to a better suited professional guide to help you.

  • Coach-ability factor : Every human being differs in level of open mindset. Coaching only works if you are willing to acommodate positive change, challenge your perspective and embrace temporary discomfort over your current problem.
e.g If you go to a dentist, you let them fix your tooth with the procedure needed and don't challenge/ question/ argue/ dominate/ interfere with their skill.
The same is with life coaching, you need to trust your life coach for the service provided.

  • Integrity : An open and honest conversation, flow of information with relevant details is necessary from a client in order to bring value to a coaching session.
